Well, what can I say more than this month has been very quiet. I had other things to do and I kind of lost my enthusiasm regarding my dare, even if I should never ever lose it if I want to reach that target.

Not much happened, I had around 10.000 visitors but constant traffic, I had only 1 small spike, on 15, of 507 visitors which is not much.

This month I focused more on monetizing the traffic, and this is not an easy task for a blog, since the traffic for a blog is so much different compared to search engine traffic.

I have managed to make the fabulous amount of $133.5 using various sources, like AdSense, affiliates and direct sold advertising space. I can say I made this money from music, isn’t it?

So, to make a long story short, statistics go like this:

  • 9805 visitors
  • 10.804 visits
  • 15.233 page views
  • 1.41 Pages/Visitor
  • 143 RSS subscribers
  • $133.5

Also, in case you are new here and want to find out the story from day 1, here’s the 4th report which will lead you to the rest of the story.

Ah, and yes, again, if you are new here, don’t forget to subscribe to my RSS feeds! Thanks!

Based on your traffic stats your monetization actually paid off quite well.

Well, yes and no. Works better on other sites I own, but it’s OK for now

I want to thank you for doing this. My blog has been really stagnant as far as growth goes. I’ve had a few days of over 1000 visitors thanks to StumbleUpon, but my usualy is much lower than that.

My issue is I blog when I have time, instead of making time for it. You are dead on when you mention commenting on blogs. Periods where I comment more see improved growth in my traffic. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep that up.

I remember reading your first post, and I am very jealous of how much you have built this blog. Well done!!!

Thank you, Chris! Indeed, if I would have to say in one word what makes a blog spin around, the word would be “proactive”. Be proactive and do something all the time. Unfortunately, as you probably see, there is no 6th report yet, because I COULDN’T FIND THE TIME TO WRITE IT. It should be a long post and I don’t find enough time.

This blog has been kind of an experiment for me and soon transformed into something I am addicted to since I rediscovered how interesting is to speak to guitar enthusiasts and share knowledge. Personally I have learned a lot in these last 6 months of intensively blogging here.

However, seems I haven’t reached my target…YET! And unfortunately I can’t find enough time to comment on other people’s blogs either.
