One of the things we all tend to forget is that the artists on stage are, well, real people, and of course, as any real people, they have parents. I stumbled upon these few pictures while reading noiseaddicts.com and I said that it should be cool to share them with you!
So, here we go:
Fank Zappa and his parents, Francis and Rosemary

Or, how about David Crosby with his father Floyd

And if this didn’t get you interested, how about Eric Clapton and his granny?

Well, I guess these pictures value for these guys more than all the pictures on the cover of Rolling stone, don’t you think?!

I love the picture of Eric Clapton and his granny. She looks so sweet and grandmotherly…and he looks nothing like the guy I know in 2008! I wonder what she thinks of him now?
Which picture is your favorite, Ovidiu? And where can I find more?

Well, the picture with Clapton’s granny is my favorite too
For more see on noiseaddicts.com site, see the link in the post or look for John Olson in Google.

The picture of Clapton at his grandmother’s house is so surreal.

I vote for the Clapton photo, too.
But the home decor in the Crosby one takes me on a trip down memory lane.

Clapton’s granny… I reckon she crocheted him the waistcoat for Christmas and he thought he’d better wear it as he was visiting her!
All that shiny stuff in front of her: the only explanation I can think of for its prominence is that perhaps he bought it for her? Just think… granny’s tea service courtesy of a R and R lifestyle of drugs, booze, sex and loud music.
