Today, Costin told me about a video of our band on YouTube, a video that Mihai put up from a concert and the recorded song, and uploaded on YouTube.

I didn’t know about it, but it’s nice to see it.

So, even if you have heard the song before, see it on YouTube again, this time with video, not only audio: the song is Nu-mi pasa (I don’t care). At the moment we played this, Mihai was not with us, he was video recording this. See the whole band here.

So, enjoy listening and comment!

The video doesn’t play… It says: “Invalid Parameters” :-(

Strange, it plays fine here. Try playing it directly on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lyCDBNFwpA&feature=player_embedded

Now it’s working :) Cool music (though I can’t get the lyrics) and nice video editing. Nice!! :)

Well, thanks, the language is Romanian, it basically says, on the chorus, My life is on the line but I don’t care at all…something like that ;-)

    Sweeeeeeeet!!!!!

I think it sounds great and the video was better than most you see on MTV that was professionally done.

Well, then we may need to claim our position on MTV ;-)

I like the song! Sometimes I put lyrics (of songs I have problems remembering) on stage too, but I hide them on the stage monitors.

    ;)

    But Ovidiu, very nice.

Here’s a question I’ve often wondered. In most Western, English-speaking songs, phrases are usually rhymed or at least there’s usually an attempt at close rhymes.

In Romanian-language songs, do you rhyme phrases or lines? Or is the concept of “rhyming” even a concept at all?

Well, Sammy, thanks, yes, our songs are usually rhymed, but our lead singer is also a poet with published books and by reading his books I can tell you he’s not a “classical” poet so he has a lot of white lyrics. But this song rhymes, I can assure you, even if not always in a straight forward way. For example, I will translate here a few lyrics to get the idea, they rhyme in Romanian:

Today I’ve waited for a phone again,
I’ve waited laid down on my bed,
    I’ve waited but it didn’t ring…

Well, in Romanian, in our song, for ex, the 2nd and the 3rd verse rhyme, not the first, but enough to give the flavor.

Regarding the lyrics, well, the stands didn’t belong to us, somebody else put them there, so we just used them. Costin, the lead singer uses papers a lot, which I hate, by the way :-)
