This morning I was in the mood for GNR (the new one, I mean, yes, that one that I don’t actually consider to be GNR) so I started to search for it on Youtube, I couldn’t find the original This I love but I found this one here and I must admit I didn’t expect that this guy actually sing this song this good.
You know that damn feeling that you have when you are waiting for the guy to screw up at every note he takes. I had this exact feeling with this guy so at the end of the song I found myself tensed because I waited for him to not be able to sing high notes. So I listened the song again, this time more relaxed, actually enjoying it…
After I watched the video I realized the guy gives rock singing lessons. So I can only say keep it up, dude, you rock! Literally! He also has a site, http://www.rockstrip.com.
How about it?

I wouldn’t say it’s his best recording, it’s a live take with just one guitar and one mic. It’s great IMO, I would be curious to hear this guy singing on a recording.

he used alot of echo effect and that makes his voice bad. and I also can say that it is not enough to hit the high notes. i was listening to him more and he fucked up many times… he cant control his voice in a professional way. when the vocal register changes from up to down or down to up i can feel it, I can hear some hesitasion, incertitude. sorry for my english. my hands are better to explain it… :d

There was this joke here in Romania, I can’t remember it, it was something with a shepherd. I only remember the last line…man, I think you have an obsession! It was actually in English. Costi, this guy actually doesn’t try to sound like Axl, you should listen to him singing 18 and life of Skid Row, he sings with the same voice, nobody says he needs to be perfect. We should just appreciate his singing. I really think Axl, put in a similar situation would also have good days and bad days or good days and horrible days. I personally can not clear my mind of his interpretation of We will rock you, I think, when he performed with Queen. Honestly, while watching him I was only asking myself who did invite this guy here to screw the song. No offense.

Oh yeah, this guy really rocks… I never heard somebody to sing that good Axl Rose songs, especially the high notes… I think that it will be cool for him to sing in a GNR cover band!

Hi Ovidiu,
Thanx for posting these videos.
Great that someone is giving tips on singing rock !
I think there will be a lot of people that will benefit from his expertise.
I’m gonna check out some more of his videos soon.
I’m curious what he has to share.
There is nothing more fulfilling than playing guitar and singing.

He sings like an angel compared to me.
Cool videos.
I have not herd anymore about Alesia Maria , how has she been doing? I bet she has grown! Won’t be long before she will need a guitar.
My youngest daughter will be 6 on April 29.
Cheers,

Very impressive stuff! Trying to sing a Guns And Roses song like Axl is hard enough, and at the same time trying to be Slash!

There is something wrong with the current popular music. It is all big corporation produced and short lived. I may be old fashioned, but try to remember last years hits vs the 80′s hits and see how many you can of each. Individual talent rocks and always will. They just don’t rake in the $’s… for that matter the current stars may not rake in the $’s for long either. They will be replaced by some new face next year.
