The wheels on the chariot of the gods of rock are finally turning again…
AC/DC have confirmed that the title of their new album will be Black Ice as widely rumoured, with the first single being Runaway Train.
Reports that one of the songs includes an F minor chord cannot be confirmed at this time.

Really, I am also interested to find out about the album, but about the fact that hey, listen…ONE OF THE SONGS INCLUDES AN F MINOR CHORD!! Man, this is mad!

I don’t know, maybe I am not THAT familiar with ACDC’s chord choices,but is this something out of the ordinary with Angus Young or what?

Their albums have never included a minor chord so far, or what?

I think that’s a news for the really eager fan! Man…

If you are reading this there is a big chance that you have watched on YouTube some great performances of Johann Pachelbel’s Canon in D. There are a few great interpretations of this piece of music on electric guitar because lately it became the song of choice and the speed test of young guitars all over the net.

So here’s Gustavo Guerra’s version of Canon song, a version that I adore, since compared to other versions, he has that easiness of playing the guitar that allows him to play around and add value to the song itself. From the first notes, using the whammy bar puts him above the rest.

When I posted the funny top ten list for a power metal band, I didn’t think it will be such a hit.

Now, on a music blog that I read everyday (littlerockjams.com) I have found an other one that looks kind of a “Top 10 tips for a blues song”.

I will put here a few “funny tips”, without ruining the original list, that I invite you to read on the original site:

1. Most Blues begin with: “Woke up this morning…”
2. “I got a good woman” is a bad way to begin the Blues, unless you stick something nasty in the next line like, “I got a good woman, with the meanest face in town.”
3. The Blues is simple. After you get the first line right, repeat it. Then find something that rhymes… Sort of: “Got a good woman with the meanest face in town. Yes, I got a good woman with the meanest face in town. Got teeth like Margaret Thatcher, and she weigh 500 pound.”
4. The Blues is not about choice. You stuck in a ditch, you stuck in a ditch - ain’t no way out.
5. Persons with names like Michelle, Amber, Jennifer, Tiffany, Brooke, Brittany and Heather can’t sing the Blues no matter how many men they shoot in Memphis.

And my favorite…I don’t care how tragic your life: if you own a computer, you cannot sing the blues!

A few minutes ago, a friend pointed me to this video. God, I laughed my heart out, can this even be possible?!!

Not related to guitars, only to music and human stupidity, but worth every second of it.

I guess I’ve been hit again by the featuring-mania, I don’t know. And damn, it’s again Slash,after writing that post with Slash top 5 featuring acts, I seem to find him everywhere. But I have never thought I will find Slash playing with Ozzy.

The performance itself is nice but there are a few things I can not stop myself making fun of.

• I love Slash’s “pose”, his image when being on stage, that shaking of his guitar when holding a power chord, the same I know from GNR’s times (at 2:26).
• I smiled when I saw him balancing and making that spread-out-legs “rock icon” pose, bowing over his guitar while picking the notes of a simple clean chord, like in a very demanding solo, even if this song…has no solo!! So I didn’t quite understand what Slash contributed with, beside him being on stage…
• The concentration of round sun glasses is way too high there…
