Archive for the ‘Make money from your guitar blog’ Category

Well, what can I say more than this month has been very quiet. I had other things to do and I kind of lost my enthusiasm regarding my dare, even if I should never ever lose it if I want to reach that target.

Not much happened, I had around 10.000 visitors but constant traffic, I had only 1 small spike, on 15, of 507 visitors which is not much.

This month I focused more on monetizing the traffic, and this is not an easy task for a blog, since the traffic for a blog is so much different compared to search engine traffic.

I have managed to make the fabulous amount of $133.5 using various sources, like AdSense, affiliates and direct sold advertising space. I can say I made this money from music, isn’t it?

So, to make a long story short, statistics go like this:

  • 9805 visitors
  • 10.804 visits
  • 15.233 page views
  • 1.41 Pages/Visitor
  • 143 RSS subscribers
  • $133.5

Also, in case you are new here and want to find out the story from day 1, here’s the 4th report which will lead you to the rest of the story.

Ah, and yes, again, if you are new here, don’t forget to subscribe to my RSS feeds! Thanks!

poor violin player on the streetWarning: this post should interest everyone of you people having a guitar related site!!!

As you probably know, these last days I have started to think on how to make this blog about guitars make some money because one way or an other I need to pay for hosting and I also invest time in writing articles. So far, the income generated by this blog is very low and does not help me very much.

I am sure that everyone of you reading this blog finds himself in a similar situation, isn’t it?

Don’t you feel that your blog can earn more money that it currently does?

I know I feel it because I run other websites where I have a good return on my investment while this site brings me money just about to buy peanuts.

So, these last days I have done some research about what revenue possibilities are for a blog about guitars and this morning I have found this site, GuitarAlliance.com that offers a smooth way to monetize your guitar site.

Seems that there are more sites in this network that you can promote in order to get a share of their sales:

All you need to do is to create an account on GuitarAlliance.com and add a small banner in a visible area of your site. It is that easy, after this, it all depends on your traffic and on how visible the banner is. You will get a percent out of everything people will buy from those sites coming from your guitar blog. So, you will only have to worry about what to write on your blog, and not how to pay for hosting! Get it?

By the way, I have found out about this thanks to GuitarMX and his free guitar lessons, thanks buddy ;-)
